Everyone talks about 'being in the right room' usually as the less knowledgeable person, small fish big pond style.

I understand the sentiment however my perspective is different.

For me, it's about how I feel in those rooms. 

How people are treated.

The voices heard.

Representation.

The right room to be in is the one where you are accepted, just as you are.

In a room you feel you belong.

Can speak freely.

Be respected. 

Be Seen. 

In the right room, there is room for everyone.

Earlier this year I attended the BYCA Gala Awards Night.

At the time, I didn't realise just how incredible being in that room was.

A room full of incredible people, in awe of and celebrating each other. 

That night, I was in the right room.

The BYCA Inspiration Day, I was in the right room. 

As a certified @bycacademy coach, l'm in the right room.

The right room has room for us all.

In the right room, we all rise.
